So, what did Evernote do this week?
In a time when everybody looking for more security. And the integration on the web are discussed everywhere. The company went out and announced that they will let their employee get access to users notes.
So, what reason do the company have for doing this? Evernote mean that the company wants to use this for learning they use. And by letting some of their employees to access users’ information to can improve the algorithms.
For the single user, this was something that could be chosen away. And for company that use it, should have the option to stop Evernote to read their notes. But if they did so, they will not have right to use the new functions.
So, what happen when users heard about this?
Of course, they went mental, and not only the users. All over the web you could read about it. And it was not any pleasant reading for the company.
We all asked us what was Evernote Corporation thinking about when they went out with this? They said in other words. We will read your private notes. Many of the notes are for sure off private character.
But the company have now backed off!
After the massive complains from the users, the company have made some changes. This will still happen. But now each user must accept the access to their notes for the administrators.
Honestly… I really ask myself, will anybody really accept anybody else to read their private notes?
