Microsoft increasing its efforts to warn users about the risks to continue with XP by using popup
In a last attempt to convert XP users, will Microsoft begin to see pop-ups that warn of the risks.
Starting today, Microsoft will start with so-called pop-ups in Windows XP. Windows will inform the users that support closed down shortly and asked them to upgrade their computers to a newer version of Windows.
According to Microsoft, the pop-ups will only appear to users who enabled updates via Windows Update. The warnings will be shown on the 8th of each month, but users will also be able to turn off the messages if they dont want to see them more.
Microsoft has also release a new tool called PCmover Express that allows you to easily back up all files on Windows XP and move them to a newer version of Windows. The program are available on windowsxp.com.
