Adobes flagship, Photoshop CC released version 2015.5
For us that have Adobe Creative, we get regularly updates to Photoshop, but its always small small changes and bug fixes. But on Friday Adobe release a big update, version CC 2015.5. The last big update was in November 2015 when version CC 2015.4 was released, so this we have waiting for.
Adobe normally don’t make us disappointed on their big Photoshop releases, and they did not do this time either. There is lots of new things, and some will be very helpful for many. I will only talk abot some of them here in this article.
The feature Liquify filter have been with Photoshop for some time now, but whats new, is that now it automatically detect face/s on a image, and also eyes, noses, mouths. And another great thing, it detect different faces, and split them up in face 1, face 2 ext. ect. so you can edit one by one.
Fonts and Glyphs
There are literately millions and millions fonts, and we all know what a pain it is, when we see a font that look nice, and we don’t know what font it is. In the new version of Adobe Photoshop, there are now one option to analyze, identify and match Latin fonts on any image, then it check in your font libery and also in Adobes own Typekit.
Glyphs was introduced in update 2015.4 but have in this version been much easier to work with, and now you can change characters directly, when you highlight the text, instead of going in to the menu.
Select and Mask
Refine Edge and Refine Mask have now been replaced by a new workspace area. And it will make it easier to precise your selections and masks. To explain this in text would be a novel.
A small PS… I follow the blog PhotoshopTrainingChannels, that is one of the best (what I think) of many blogs about Photoshop, here you also have some videos explaining about the news to Photoshop 2015.5
