Search engine, Google will Sell Motorola have they announced that they selling Motorola Mobility to Chinese Lenovo for $2.9 billion, this after only a few years after they bought the company.

The price is $9.6 billion less than the $12.5 billion that Google paid when they bought Motorola, but in all patents that was included when Google bought Motorola is not include in the sale to Lenova. When Google bought Motorola, it was the companys biggest acquisition, but Motorola’s losses have cost Google lots money.

Google CEO Larry Page has said it does not make sense for Google to continue manufacturing mobils and that its now possible for Google to devote their energy to drive the Android ecosystem forward.

When the sell became public, Google shares rised, but the shares from Lenovo fell.
