Android continues to grow.
The operating system Android has now 85 percent of the global market for smartphones and, the system of BlackBerry, Apple iOS and Microsoft Windows Phone, are loosing users all the time
In other words Android is nor running on nine of ten smartphones. The Markets in Asia and Africa are still growing when it comes to smart phones, but in Europe and America the markets it has slown down, the last quarter, has been the smallest growth of smartphones in 5 years.
Acording to the report, the markets like China and India is basically dominated by devices running Android, partly due to licensing costs.
Apple iOS, BlackBerry and Microsoft Windows Phones have all lose users, e.g. Microsoft Windows Phone user wen from 4 percent in the second quarter of 2013 to 3 percent in the second quarter of 2014 and the report says that they dont see any increase to be expected. Something that may affect this figures for Windows Phone is to remove the license fee for it.
